December 2022 Teacher of the Month

Cynthia Whitworth

CONGRATULATIONS to our December 2022 TEACHER OF THE MONTH, CYNTHIA REID WHITWORTH! Cynthia is an Instructional Teacher Assistant at New Hope Elementary in Gaston County, NC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Gardener Webb University and is enrolled in the North Carolina Teachers of Tomorrow program to obtain a teaching certification in Elementary Education. Cynthia plans to finish her master’s degree in Public Administration. Her hobbies include reading, singing, teaching Bible study, volunteering, and traveling. She is a mother of three and grandmother. Cynthia states, “I enjoy being a member of CTA, because this organization really seems to care about its members. The American Tutors Program and the upcoming Teacher on Loan Program are two great examples, out of many, of how CTA is working to make a difference in the lives of all students and members. I look forward to seeing more great things from CTA.” Cynthia will receive a $25 gift card and a Teacher of the Month certificate.
